43rd Turkish Banking Evening brings international finance community to Frankfurt School
More than 300 participants discuss banking, economic developments and financial cooperation
The 43rd Annual Turkish Banking Evening brought senior representatives from banking, central banks and academia to Frankfurt School of Finance & Management on 22 September 2026. Co-organised by Turkish financial institutions and Frankfurt School Forum, the event continued a long-standing exchange on economic and financial developments in Türkiye, Germany and the international financial community.
More than 300 members of the banking and finance community attended the event. Discussions focused on the international role of Turkish banks, Türkiye’s economic outlook and investment environment as well as financial cooperation between Türkiye and Germany.
Speakers included Dr Yusuf Emre Akgündüz, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, and Michael Theurer, Member of the Executive Board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, alongside senior representatives from the banking sector and academia. Topics ranged from recent developments in disinflation and financial resilience in Türkiye to the future role of foreign banks in the German banking market.
The programme combined keynote speeches and panel discussions with opportunities for direct exchange between participants. The evening concluded with a networking reception, allowing representatives from the financial sector, central banks and academia to continue the conversation.
