UTD Top 100 Business School Research Ranking: Frankfurt School once again ranked No. 1 in the German-speaking region

Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has once again secured the top position in the German-speaking region in the latest UTD Top 100 Business School Research Ranking. It ranks 15th in Europe and 88th worldwide.

Compiled by the University of Texas at Dallas, the UTD Research Ranking is one of the most established international benchmarks for research performance at business schools. It is based exclusively on publications in 24 leading academic journals in the field of business. The current ranking covers publications from 2021 to 2025.

International research with impact

Frankfurt School’s strong position reflects the research output of its faculty. A total of 75 publications involving Frankfurt School researchers were included in the ranking, ten of them co-authored with doctoral students.

Employers give Frankfurt School top marks for employability

Only recently, Frankfurt School also achieved strong results in the QS Rankings 2027. The ranking takes into account, among other factors, feedback from employers and academics worldwide. Of the five Frankfurt School programmes assessed by QS, three ranked second in Germany. Frankfurt School’s Master’s and MBA programmes performed particularly strongly in the Employability and Employer Reputation categories, with two programmes ranking first in Germany and also placing among the international leaders.

Taken together, these results illustrate the close connection between academic excellence, high-quality teaching and practical relevance at Frankfurt School. Students benefit from current research while developing the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in demanding roles and pursue strong career opportunities across industries and markets.
