Strategic decision-making in complex times: Frankfurt School launches Advanced Management Programme

Artificial intelligence, technological change and geopolitical uncertainty are making strategic decision-making increasingly complex. Whether introducing new technologies, entering markets or managing organisational change, executives need to consider the implications for different areas of their business. Understanding how these functions interact is becoming an important part of senior leadership.
The Advanced Management Programme (AMP) at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management addresses these challenges by providing experienced executives with a broader understanding of strategic decision-making across business functions. The programme starts again on 19 April 2027.
Understanding the bigger picture
Senior executives often bring extensive expertise in their respective fields. However, decisions at company level require an understanding of different priorities and challenges across the organisation.
The AMP examines these interdependencies from the perspectives of different C-suite functions. Participants explore how executives in these roles assess risks, set priorities and approach strategic decisions.
Topics include corporate strategy and growth, finance and value creation, customers and markets, AI and digital leadership, operational resilience, and people and organisation. The focus is on how these areas interact and influence company-wide decisions rather than on specialist knowledge in individual disciplines.
Developing a broader leadership perspective
Participants examine how to assess competing priorities, recognise dependencies between business functions and consider the wider implications of strategic decisions. The programme also addresses leadership challenges associated with digitalisation, artificial intelligence and organisational change.
The AMP combines research-based teaching by Frankfurt School faculty with insights from experienced industry executives. Business cases, discussions and cross-industry exchange connect academic perspectives with practical management challenges.
After completing the programme, participants can continue exchanging ideas and building professional connections through the Frankfurt School AMP Circle.
Next Programme starts in April 2027
The Advanced Management Programme comprises seven programme days across two modules, complemented by personalised executive coaching. The next programme starts on 19 April 2027 at the Frankfurt School campus in Frankfurt am Main.
