Andrea Diefenhardt is a Professor of Law (Education) at Frankfurt School.
Andrea Diefenhardt studied law and political science at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, the University of Florida, the London School of Economics and the University of Modena. She completed her legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Frankfurt, including at the law firm Advant Beiten. She completed her doctorate under Prof. Dr Dres. h.c. Manfred Weiss on a commercial law topic.
Andrea Diefenhardt was supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation's scholarship program for gifted students during her studies and doctorate.
She gained practical work experience in Hong Kong, Washington D.C. and Frankfurt.
After working as in-house counsel in the legal department of one of Europe's largest private banks, she was appointed as a Group Divisional Head for Legal and Strategy in 2008 with responsibility for the legal department, strategic corporate development, investments, corporate communications and strategic infrastructure projects.
At the same time, she was a lecturer at the Frankfurt School and the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. She was involved in various BdB working groups, in particular financial futures and risk policy, and held various advisory and supervisory board mandates, including Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse and Freunde der Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as being a board member of the Frankfurt Law Society and state chairwoman of the Hessian Association of Women Lawyers.
Andrea Diefenhardt is an examiner for the first state examination in law, an expert in accreditation procedures and a liaison lecturer for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. She is a member of the advisory board of the German Institute for Legal Departments and Corporate Lawyers (DIRUJ) and a member of the German Lawyers' Conference.
From 2018-2024, Andrea Diefenhardt was a Professor of Business Law at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences, where she taught business law, in particular commercial and corporate law, employment law, digitalisation and law, supply chain management and was also involved in the Rent a Scientist project and various collaborations with the Christian Albrechts University.
Andrea Diefenhardt is an examiner for the first state examination in law, an expert in accreditation procedures and a liaison lecturer for the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. She is a member of the advisory board of the German Institute for Legal Departments and Corporate Lawyers (DIRUJ) and a member of the German Lawyers' Conference.
