Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science
Gregory Wheeler is Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. He earned a joint PhD in philosophy and computer science from the University of Rochester in 2002. Prior to joining the Frankfurt School in 2017, he held faculty positions at The Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy (MCMP) at LMU Munich, Carnegie Mellon University, the Center for Artificial Intelligence at Nova University in Lisbon, and was a periodic visitor to the TU Dresden AI Institute and the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognition in Berlin. In 2019 he co-founded Exaloan AG, a financial software company based in Frankfurt, where he is CTO and Head of AI & Machine Learning.
Gregory’s research interests concern probability and statistics, with a focus on imprecise probability theory, applied Bayesian statistics, and machine learning.
