Services
Coaching & Counselling
Our Coaching & Counselling service is available to all students enrolled in Frankfurt School's academic programmes. It provides support for personal and study-related challenges and helps promote wellbeing throughout the student journey.
In a confidential setting, students can discuss personal concerns, stress, crisis situations and other challenges while exploring new perspectives and practical ways forward. The aim is to strengthen personal resources and empower students to navigate challenges both during their studies and beyond.
Where appropriate, we provide information about additional support services and referrals to specialised counselling providers or partner psychotherapy practices. Students may also access a free initial consultation with one of Frankfurt School's partner psychotherapy practices in Frankfurt, regardless of whether they make use of our counselling service.
Mental Health First Aid – Students Supporting Students
Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who understands the challenges of student life from personal experience. Our Mental Health First Aiders are specially trained students who provide a confidential, accessible and supportive first point of contact for fellow students. They listen without judgement, help students navigate difficult situations and support them in finding appropriate resources and services within Frankfurt School and beyond.
In addition, our regular peer-to-peer format, “Let's Talk About...”, provides a space for open conversations, mutual support and the sharing of experiences. These services are open to all students – not only those experiencing acute difficulties. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, struggling to settle in, looking for guidance, or simply want someone to talk to, you are warmly welcome.
Studying with a Disability, Chronic Illness or Health Condition
Frankfurt School is committed to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment. Our support service advises and assists students with disabilities, chronic illnesses and other health conditions in all matters relating to their studies – even if a formal diagnosis has not yet been established.
Our services are available to students with both visible and non-visible conditions, including ADHD, dyslexia, depression, diabetes and many other disabilities, chronic illnesses and health impairments. We provide support with areas such as organising academic life, applying for reasonable accommodations and addressing study-related challenges arising from a health condition. The service is available to all students. Where required, reasonable accommodations may already be requested for participation in the Assessment Centre.
Accessibility is an important part of campus life at Frankfurt School. Facilities include accessible parking spaces, care-equipped restrooms, platform lifts providing step-free access to lecture hall stages and reading devices in the library. Our goal is to remove barriers and ensure equal participation for all students.
Pregnancy, Parenthood and Caring Responsibilities
Balancing studies, family life and caring responsibilities can present unique challenges. Frankfurt School supports students who are pregnant, raising children or caring for family members in combining their studies with their individual life circumstances.
Pregnant and breastfeeding students receive support in accordance with the provisions of the German Maternity Protection Act (Mutterschutzgesetz). We also provide guidance on parental leave, study planning and individual support options.
Students with childcare or caring responsibilities are equally encouraged to contact us. Together, we explore available options and identify the most suitable forms of support for each individual situation.
