Admission Requirements
As an applicant, you can be admitted to the Master of Mergers and Acquisitions if you:
- Hold a higher education entrance qualification as well as a first professional academic or vocational degree. Professionally qualified applicants must also pass an aptitude test.
- Achieve a total of 300 ECTS credits with the master’s degree. Missing credits (up to 60 ECTS) may be compensated through recognition of professional experience or other achievements, such as bridge modules.
- Have at least one year of qualified, study-relevant professional experience.
- Have very good German language skills (at least level C1).
- Successfully complete the selection process, including the admission interview.

LEARNING GOALS
Graduates will gain a clear understanding of the legal and business expertise and methods required. They will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the economic and legal parameters and instruments for analyzing, structuring, and managing M&A transactions.
Graduates have trained analytical thinking and judgment to solve complex M&A projects. They are able to independently familiarize themselves with new topics, evaluate information, and draw practical conclusions. In doing so, they use the latest research findings and are able to make well-founded strategic decisions.
Graduates are able to communicate professionally and work together in interdisciplinary teams. They conduct negotiations independently in the context of M&A transactions and can assume the role of buyer, acquirer, legal advisor, or investment banker.
Graduates accompany M&A transactions. They are familiar with the framework conditions of their professional activities and reflect on their decisions.

The Master’s programme in Mergers & Acquisitions is ideally compatible with full-time employment. Classes are usually held in intensive blocks once a month, from Thursday to Saturday, on the Frankfurt School campus. In addition, project-based self-study phases allow you to work on practical M&A case studies. This structure enables you to perfectly combine your studies with your professional career.

The exams consist of term papers, individual or group presentations, and written exams.
The course is taught in German. The minimum requirement for participation is therefore language level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Please submit appropriate proof if German is not your native language and/or you did not complete your first degree in German.
