Customise Your Agenda - Choose Your Track

The Summer Academy offers three specialised tracks:

The three tracks are rooted in Frankfurt School’s advisory work with financial institutions and its strong expertise in sustainable and development finance.

Please note: A minimum of 10 participants is required for a track to take place.

Sustainable Finance Track

The Sustainable Finance Track is designed for professionals in banks, financial institutions and regulatory bodies who want to deepen their expertise in sustainable finance and climate risk management.

Sustainable finance is transforming global financial markets. New regulation, evolving ESG methodologies and innovative financial instruments are reshaping how institutions assess risk, allocate capital and create long-term value. At the same time, sustainability challenges have become more complex, requiring structured knowledge and strategic leadership.

Building on Frankfurt School of Finance & Management’s recognised expertise in sustainable and development finance, this track provides practical tools and market-relevant insights to integrate sustainable finance into core financial decision-making.

Central Banking Track

The Central Banking Track focuses on financial inclusion policy, financial education frameworks and digital financial literacy as key pillars of inclusive and resilient financial systems.

As financial systems become increasingly digital, central banks and regulators play a critical role in promoting financial inclusion, consumer protection and financial resilience. This track provides a structured understanding of regulatory frameworks, policy design and implementation strategies that support inclusive financial sector development.

The Central Banking Track is co-hosted by Frankfurt School’s Centre for Central Banking and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI). The Centre contributes academic excellence and expertise in monetary policy, financial stability and central banking practice. AFI adds a global policy perspective and practical insights from its international network of central banks and financial regulators. Together, they combine research-based knowledge with hands-on regulatory experience.

The SME Finance Future Leaders Track is designed for experienced professionals driving innovation and transformation in small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) finance. As SME ecosystems evolve rapidly, the programme equips participants with the strategic perspective and practical tools needed to navigate complexity and shape the future of SME financing.

The track addresses key cross-cutting themes that define the sector today, including inclusive and gender-smart finance, digital finance and fintech-enabled solutions, and sustainable finance with a focus on climate-aligned approaches. Participants gain insights into emerging trends, regulatory developments, and innovative business models that are reshaping SME finance globally.
