Where Involvement Creates Impact

Growing together. Shaping the future. Making a lasting impact.

In a short time, Frankfurt School has established itself as a research-focused business school with international standing.

Excellence in teaching and research, practical relevance, personal encounters, and dynamic, open networks define Frankfurt School. It is a vibrant place where students, alumni, academics, friends and donors from business, society and politics come together.

Our entrepreneurial spirit guides us. We are funded exclusively through tuition and course fees, as well as honoraria. We are grateful for the numerous friends who support us. Their donations and sponsorships fund professorships, research centres and scholarships, as well as our wonderful campus. We want to continue to address topics that are visible on the horizon but have not yet made the headlines. And we want to establish ourselves permanently in the Champions League of European business schools.

We want to grow our endowment capital to strengthen our financial independence, and thus our capacity for innovation, in the medium and long term; to address pressing research topics; to implement new forms of learning and teaching; and to attract bright minds.

Our Organisation

Frankfurt School is a nonprofit company (gemeinnützige GmbH). It is owned by the Frankfurt School Foundation. Members of the Board of Trustees of the foundation also serve as the shareholders' assembly of the gGmbH. The Foundation’s main purpose is to foster excellent education and research at Frankfurt School. The endowment capital provides a sustainable, future-oriented financial foundation. Returns on the capital enable us, for example, to offer scholarships for our PhD students.

Which options are available?

We invite our friends and donors to invest in the endowment capital. In doing so, you will make a lasting contribution and ensure that we conduct relevant, cutting-edge research, that young talents pursue first-class degree programmes, and that we can bring meaningful, inspiring networks to life. Join us in shaping the future of Frankfurt School, so that we can grow and make a lasting impact.

You can dedicate your endowment to a cause close to your heart.

Designated fund
By investing in a designated fund, you can support a cause you care for.
1. Attracting brilliant minds
People are at the heart of a business school: excellent, research-oriented professors with a strong passion for teaching, as well as dedicated staff in management and administration. With an endowment to the “Brilliant Minds” fund, you help attract bright and ambitious individuals to Frankfurt School.
2. Top-class equipment for research and teaching
With an endowment to the “Equipment for Teaching and Research” fund, you invest in our facilities and infrastructure, e. g. access to databases, software or AI solutions, as well as laboratories for research.
3. Our PhD students
With an endowment to the “PhD Students” fund, you help strengthen Frankfurt School’s research capacity and further solidify our reputation as a research-focused business school. The PhD programme at Frankfurt School trains the next generation of academics. Our PhD students complete their degree cumulatively – their scholarly output lies in publishing their research in peer-reviewed academic journals. Frankfurt School is already funding PhD scholarships through the returns on its endowment capital. Your endowment thus supports young researchers and strengthens our overall research capacity.
4. Creating opportunities
Studying at Frankfurt School means benefiting from an excellent education with a strong practical focus. Through our numerous community events, students enlarge their personal network. Thus, studying at Frankfurt School enables young talents to embark on a professional path, a career or career trajectory that they would otherwise not have been able to pursue. With an endowment to the "Opportunities" fund, you help set up partial scholarships for students.
5. Fostering encounters and dialogue
Nothing replaces a face-to-face conversation. However, for talks and encounters to have an impact, a pleasant and welcoming space is key. Our campus is such a place. If you appreciate it as much as we do, we invite you to make an endowment to the “Encounter and Dialogue” fund. After all, we want our campus to remain an attractive venue for many future generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frankfurt School does not receive any public funding. It finances its operations through tuition fees and fees for advisory projects. Currently, donations and sponsorship contributions enable scholarships or professorships and support our research. Returns on the endowment capital will be an additional source of income and, thus, strengthen Frankfurt School’s development.

Contributions to the foundation’s endowment are permanent; only returns are spent. Thus, your gift means long-term, even eternal support for Frankfurt School.

We are happy to recognize your contribution and are keen to realize your wishes, for example, with a wooden plaque on the Donor Wall in the foyer in front of the Audimax. We would like to get to know you and your causes. Please contact us so we can appreciate your gift appropriately.

Frankfurt School and the Frankfurt School Foundation are recognized as nonprofit organizations and issue corresponding donation receipts. Thus, as a donor, you benefit from tax advantages.

Donations must always be spent in the near term. Endowments, on the other hand, are added to a foundation’s capital and are thus preserved forever; only the returns on the endowment are spent.

Additional endowments will grow the Frankfurt School Foundation’s capital. The returns will benefit Frankfurt School.

An asset manager manages the investment and is supervised by our Board of Trustees.

Making an endowment is a very personal decision. We invite you to discuss the causes that matter to you and how you can establish a lasting connection with Frankfurt School. Naturally, our conversations will remain confidential.
