C-Level Insights: Shaping Europe's Transition – Stefan Wintels

CfET opened its C-Level Insights lecture series on leadership and transformation in Europe with Stefan Wintels, CEO of KfW. Introduced by Frankfurt School President Nils Stieglitz and moderated by Sascha Steffen, Wintels spoke on KfW's role in financing economic and societal transformation, nationally and internationally.

He argued that Germany's shrinking labour force, high energy costs, low public investment and limited venture capital call for KfW to act beyond its traditional banking role, as an enabler, crisis manager and mobiliser of private capital in support of competitiveness and climate goals.
