Months of preparation, a serious injury just days before the race and temperatures above 35°C: Ironman Frankfurt could hardly have presented a greater challenge for Frankfurt School student Simon Christ. All the more remarkable, then, was his performance. The Master's student crossed the finish line in an impressive 6:23:17, demonstrating exceptional determination, discipline and mental resilience.

With this result, Simon finished 22nd out of 224 athletes in the 18–24 age group and placed 225th overall among 2,475 participants. He delivered an especially strong performance on the bike, recording the eighth-fastest bike split in his age group.

Just a few days before the race, Simon suffered a broken rib. Nevertheless, he decided to compete. The conditions on race day added another layer of difficulty. Due to the extreme heat, the course was shortened from the traditional Ironman distance. Instead, participants completed a 3.8 km swim, a 125 km bike ride and a half marathon over 21.1 km.

Frankfurt School of Finance & Management supported Simon as a sponsor and is proud of his outstanding achievement. Congratulations to Simon on this fantastic accomplishment.
