Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has secured 31st place worldwide and 2nd place in Germany in the 2026 Better World MBA Ranking published by Corporate Knights. A total of 173 MBA programmes worldwide were evaluated for the international ranking. The assessment focuses on how effectively business schools integrate sustainability and social responsibility into management education and the extent to which their graduates contribute to a more sustainable economy.

“This result recognises our commitment to educating leaders who combine business success with social responsibility. Sustainability has become a key dimension of business decision-making. That is why we not only equip our students with sound management knowledge but also develop their ability to take a holistic view of economic, environmental and societal challenges and make responsible decisions,” says Professor Adrian Buss, Academic Director MBA and EMBA Programmes.

Stephanie Kutschmann, Programme Manager MBA Programmes at Frankfurt School, is also pleased with the result: “The ranking highlights the importance of making sustainability and responsible management an integral part of modern MBA education. We aim to prepare our students to approach complex challenges from different perspectives and develop sustainable solutions that can be applied in business practice.”

The result marks another significant achievement for Frankfurt School’s MBA programmes, following the recent success in the Financial Times Executive MBA Ranking 2026. Frankfurt School climbed four places to 50th worldwide and secured third place in Germany. Together, these achievements reinforce Frankfurt School’s strong international reputation and highlight the excellence of its MBA programmes.

Sustainability in Management Education

The Better World MBA Ranking is published annually by Corporate Knights, a Canadian media and research company. It assesses how effectively business schools integrate sustainability into their MBA programmes and the contribution their graduates make to a sustainable economy.

The ranking is based on two key criteria: 80 per cent of the overall score is determined by the extent to which sustainability topics are integrated into the core courses of MBA programmes. The remaining 20 per cent of the assessment is based on the professional activities of MBA graduates. The key factor is the proportion of graduates working for companies or organisations focused on addressing social or environmental challenges, or in roles related to sustainability.
