The Frankfurt School's part-time banking studies programme is aimed at professionals in the financial sector who want to expand their knowledge in a targeted and practical manner. Participation is possible online or in person at selected locations. The curriculum provides in-depth banking knowledge as well as up-to-date legal and economic expertise, taught by experienced industry experts.

Focus & Format

Target Audience

Professionals working in credit institutions and other financial services companies who wish to develop their professional and personal skills in order to take on varied and interesting tasks in all areas of banking or in the financial sector of other industries.

Study Model

The programme can be attended in person at selected locations. Lectures are usually held on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Alternatively, it is possible to complete the programme online. The virtual courses take place on one evening during the week – Mondays or Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. – and on Saturdays, usually from 8:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

With your banking studies, you have the opportunity to apply for our Bachelor of Arts (Lateral Entry) programme. If you meet all the requirements and successfully complete a selection process, you can obtain an academic degree in a shorter period of time. Admission requirements

The admission requirement is a completed apprenticeship as a bank clerk or commercial training with at least one year of banking experience. Alternatively, four years of relevant professional experience in the banking sector will be accepted.

Commercial vocational training with at least one year of professional experience in a credit institution or
At least four years of professional experience in the banking industry
Other qualifications subject to individual assessment.
