Cookies

There is no permanent connection between our web server and your browser. Each time a new webpage is called up or a completed form is sent, a new connection between your browser and our web server is created. In this process data is exchanged and the connection is then terminated. In order, for example, to facilitate processing of data entered via a multi-page form, cookies are stored on a temporary basis.

Cookies are information that is sent by our web server to your browser which stores it in the memory and sends it back at the time of a subsequent access to our web server. A distinction is drawn here between session cookies and persistent cookies. After your browser is closed, only persistent cookies can be used for a future connection of your browser with our web server because it is stored permanently as a text file on the hard drive of your computer. Session cookies are lost when the browser is closed.

For our website we use both session cookies and persistent cookies in which usage data and user data can be stored.

You can prevent storage of cookies by making the relevant settings in your browser software. However, we draw your attention to the fact that if you do so it may not be possible to make full use of all the functions in this website.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and which facilitate an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of this website is normally sent to one of Google's servers in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states that are parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. It only happens in exceptional cases that the full IP address is sent to one of Google's servers in the USA and truncated there. Under the instruction of the operator of this website Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website in order to compile reports about website activities and to render the other services associated with use of the website and internet use. The IP address sent by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data. You can prevent storage of cookies by making the relevant settings in your browser software. However, we draw your attention to the fact that if you do so it may not be possible to make full use of all the functions in this website.

You can also prevent recording of the personal data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) for Google as well as the processing of the data by Google by downloading and installing the web browser plug-in available under the following link.

You can prevent recording by Google Analytics by setting and opt-out cookie which will prevent future recording of your data when you visit this website. For this purpose please click here: Deactivate Google Analytics

You will find further information about terms of use and data protection at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or http://www.google.de/policies/privacy/. We draw your attention to the fact that on this website Google Analytics has been enhanced with the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to guarantee anonymous recording of IP addresses (known as IP masking).

DoubleClick

We also use DoubleClick, a service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 "Google"). DoubleClick uses cookies to enable user-based advertisements. The cookies identify which ad has already been placed on your browser and whether you have visited a website via an ad placement. The cookies do not record any personally identifiable information and cannot be associated with such information.

If you do not want this, you can prevent the storage of the cookie required for these technologies, for example via your browser settings. In this case, your visit will not flow into the user statistics. You also have the option, via the display setting, of selecting the types of Google ads or disabling interest-based ads on Google. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third parties with the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool. We and Google will, however, continue to receive the statistical information on how many users have visited this page and when. If you do not want to be included in these statistics, you can prevent this by means of additional programmes for your browser (for example with the add-on Ghostery).

Google AdWords

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking has been deployed on this website. Google AdWords places a cookie on your browser if you have been directed to this website via a Google advertisement. The cookie is valid for a specific period and it makes it possible to ascertain whether a user has been directed to the website via a Google advertisement during this period. At the same time it is possible to ascertain whether the user has carried out a particular action that is relevant for the operator of the advertisement (conversion) (registration for the newsletter etc.). This technology serves the purpose of producing conversion statistics for customers of Google AdWords which provide information about the overall number of users who have looked at an advertisement. This is important for companies in order to ascertain the profitability of marketing investments.

The conversion data compiled by Google AdWords only provides overall information concerning advertisements and keywords and cannot be assigned to any particular customer.

Further information about cookie technology used is available in Google's information about website statistics and in the data protection provisions.

If you do not want this, you can prohibit storage of the cookies required for these technologies, for example via your browser settings. In this case your visit will not be included in the user statistics.

You also have the option via ads settings to select the types of Google ads or interest-based ads to deactivate on Google. Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies by third-party providers by calling up deactivation help of the network advertising initiative.

We and Google or Bing will, however, still receive the statistical information about how many users have visited this page. If you do not even wish to be included in this statistic, you can prohibit it with the help of additional programs for your browser (e.g. with Add-on Ghostery).

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. Website tags can be managed via an interface. The tool Google Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) is a non-cookie domain and it does not record any personal data. The Tag Manager makes the inclusion and management of the tags easier for us. Tags are small code elements which, amongst other things, serve the purpose of measuring traffic and visitor behaviour, recording the effect of online advertising and social channels, remarketing and setting up the orientation to target groups and testing and optimising websites. We only use the tags of Google Analytics and Google AdWords Conversion Tracking. Google Tag Manager itself does not access data collected in connection with the individual tags. If deactivation has been effected on domain or cookie level, this will remain effective for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager.

YouTube

This page includes YouTube contents, a service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. In this way information will be sent to service providers under certain circumstances and, if applicable, used by them. This information may also include personal data. We use a two-click solution to prevent the unknown and unwanted recording of data and data transmission to service providers. To activate videos you have to click on the relevant button. The recording of information and the transfer of it to the service provider will ensue only after this activation. We ourselves do not record any personal data by means of the video or by the use of it. At the time of activation Google will be informed about the visit to a particular website. If you are registered with Google at the same time, Google will be able to identify you as a visitor to the relevant site. You can find out which data is recorded in this process and how it is used in the data protection information provided by Google: www.google.com/privacy. You will find setting options for protection of your private sphere at: www.google.com/dashboard.
