The Congolese-German Centre for Microfinance

is one of five Centers of Excellence in Africa sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Services (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienste – DAAD). Its aim is to promote teaching and research to train future leaders in microfinance in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and beyond.

On behalf of various agencies and development finance institutions, such as ADB, EU, EIB, EBRD, FMO, GIZ, IFC, KfW, and the World Bank, we conduct projects across the globe with the aim to strengthen the financial sector and thus improve low-income populations’ access to finance. We operate in more than 100 countries through our Frankfurt Head Office, and have regional teams in Brazil, China, India, Kenya, Panama, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates.

Services

We offer the development and implementation of customised technical assistance (TA) to support our clients in a wide range of areas, such as fund management (funding, technical assistance, and grants), strategic management, implementation of international credit lines, and TA in all banking areas.

In an effort to increase outreach to the unbanked, we cooperate with policymakers and regulators to provide advisory services and develop integrated financial schemes that are adapted to specific market needs. Do you study business, economics, or social sciences, and are you interested in bolstering your theoretical knowledge with practical experience?
