Frankfurt School checks whether planned excursions abroad can take place on a case-by-case basis. Participants who have registered for excursions will be immediately informed of any changes by e-mail.

We have cancelled the India module in the interest of the safety of the entire class and staff. We will provide learning material and a new, individual assignment as an alternative, as well as to prepare students for module 5.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in the India module in 2021. Given the circumstances, this is not mandatory; nonetheless, we would highly encourage all students to go to India next year.

For the time being, our partner university, Johns Hopkins University, has cancelled all in person classes and has transitioned to remote classes until April 12. The USA has also implemented comprehensive travel restrictions until April 12. We will continue to monitor how the coronavirus situation around the world is developing and will make further decisions.

We are committed to preserving the international focus of the IHM MBA with the exposure to various health systems in the world. Unfortunately, we are currently constrained by factors beyond our control. We all hope that the virus transmission is contained in a timely manner and we will be able to arrange international modules for our IHM MBA students.

Frankfurt School has made appropriate preparations to ensure that the campus continues to operate as smoothly as possible in the event of a temporary closure. In the event of temporary closure, students and lecturers will be informed by e-mail.

We recommend that student refrain from studying in risk areas. We kindly ask our students to check on their own whether there are any travel warnings for the country and region they plan to travel. Please contact the International Office of Frankfurt School for further questions.

Students who have stayed in a risk area must stay at home for 14 days. Please inform the Frankfurt School about this via the mail address communitylife@fs.de. Together we will find solutions so the success of your degree will not be compromised.

Students who believe they have been infected should contact their family doctor or the medical on-call service by phone at the Germany-wide number 116117. The Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs has set up a hotline for questions about the coronavirus: 0800 5554666. It is available every day from 08:00 to 20:00; the staff on this hotline speak German and English.

If the person tests positive and infection with the coronavirus is confirmed, the student should contact their own doctor and self-isolate for 14 days. Bachelor Day will take place online on April 25. We will be in touch closer to the date with the link to the online event.

The next Bachelor Day on campus is set to take place sometime in June, we will inform you as soon as the date has been set.

Assessment Centres for Bachelor, Master and MBA applicants will be carried out online. The admissions teams will contact applicants to set up dates. They will also share technical requirements. In the case that applicants are unable to provide required test scores (GMAT, Toefl, IELTS) alternative arrangements are being made. Due to the current circumstances, the Master & MBA Info evening will take place online on April 2. Upon registering you will receive a link  to the online event. If you have any questions concerning online participation, please let us know.

We have decided to postpone the StartUp Night, which was planned for April 8, 2020. We will inform you in time about our plans and an alternative date.

• Professional and Executive Education classes, seminars and certificate courses for participants, who registered either on their own or through their employers, will not take place until April 18, 2020, inclusive. All registered participants will receive offers to attend their programme at a later date.
• All corporate programmes (seminars, certificate courses, exams) on company premises will take place there as planned.
• Up to and including April 5, 2020, corporate programmes that were scheduled to take place on our campus, need to be rescheduled. The campus is closed in order to minimize the risk of corona infection. Frankfurt School is in touch with all clients to set up new dates.

We have received a high number of cancellations for our planned MBA Reunion on March 13-14, both from registered participants, as well as from speakers. In large parts this is due to travel restrictions people are facing as their companies are implementing new travel policies for employees.

As a result, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the MBA Reunion 2020 in March. We are disappointed that we are not able to welcome you to our traditional annual reunion, which is an integral part of our culture and an annual highlight for our MBA community.

If there are any changes to conferences, workshops and evening events planned after March 16, we will inform registered guests and participants by email.

In order to reduce the risk of infection, all persons who have been in a risk area in the last 14 days should not attend events at Frankfurt School.

The Frankfurt School Verlag Conference " Finanzdienstleister der nächsten Generation" will be postponed from 25 March to 24 September. If further conferences are to be postponed, the alternative dates will be announced as soon as possible.

On March 15, 2020, the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg ordered comprehensive preventive measures to contain coronavirus infections. Based on this general ruling, the Hamburg campus is closed until Thursday, April 30, 2020, inclusive. The Frankfurt School team can be reached by telephone during this time (040 236483617).

On March 16, 2020, the Bavarian State Government declared a state of emergency for the whole of Bavaria. On this basis, the Munich study centre will initially be closed until Sunday, April 19, 2020. The team can be reached by telephone (089 5434896913).

We ask all employees returning from an at risk area to maintain a 14-day self-isolation in order to minimise the risk of infection.

Please discuss with your respective manager, which urgent business trips abroad need to be taken. We have put a moratorium in place on business travel to at risk areas.

Our key objective at the moment is to stay as informed as possible while keeping the university running smoothly. Frankfurt School has been making arrangements for employees to work from home during a possible temporary closure of the campus.

On Friday, March 13, 2020, we were informed of a confirmed coronavirus case at Frankfurt School. We immediately contacted the Frankfurt Health Authority. Together with the Frankfurt Health Authority we we have defined and implemented steps such as the extensive cleaning and disinfection of the campus.

On the instruction of the Frankfurt Health Authority, we are not permitted to disclose the identity of the person concerned.

On Montag, 16 March 2020, the German federal and state governments announced new guidelines for dealing with the spread of the coronavirus. In addition, the Robert Koch Institute changed its assessment of the health risk in Germany from moderate to high.

In light of this, we have now decided to take further precautionary measures. We want to help reduce the risk of infection.

• From the morning of Thursday, 19 March 2020 until Sunday, 5 April 2020 inclusive, our campus (including the casino and deli, study spaces and the break-out rooms) will be closed to students and visitors. During the closure, the library will offer a reduced service to students.
• All exam-relevant courses from Degree Programmes will only be available online until Sunday, 5 April 2020. Assessments and examinations during this period will be either offered online or postponed. Further information regarding this will be communicated via email.
• All staff members can continue working in the office. Alternatively, they can also work flexibly off-campus.

We will continue to closely monitor how the coronavirus is developing. We check the current situation several times a day, exchange information and take any necessary protective measures. The Presidential Board and key contact people for FS are actively involved in this process. We follow the recommendations and instructions of the Robert Koch Institute – an agency of the Ministry of Health. In addition, we are in regular contact with our partner SOS International, the world's largest company for medical and travel security services.

People who have been on campus in the last few weeks do not need to be tested for Corona if they feel healthy. The risk of infection on our campus is no higher than in other public areas.

Of course, everyone is free to decide for themselves whether or not to see a doctor.

As with influenza and other respiratory diseases, taking care when coughing and sneezing, a good and careful hand hygiene as well as keeping a distance of about one to two metres from a sick person also protect against transmission.
