Back on Campus!

With around 500 participants Frankfurt School celebrated its traditional FS Alumni Homecoming last Saturday. Former fellow students, long-time friends, but also new acquaintances came together on the Frankfurt campus. Highlights were the workshops on current topics as well as the keynote of the former astronaut and Professor for Space Technology Ulrich Walter. But there was also plenty of opportunity to network while enjoying dinner and drinks. Alumni from the anniversary years Class of 1998, 2003 and 2013 met for an exclusive reception with FS President and CEO Professor Nils Stieglitz in the Executive Lounge.

The day started with two workshop sessions with six units.
Participants could choose between the topics Mergers & Acquisitions, Monetary Policy and the Real Estate Market, Salary Negotiations for Professionals, Entrepreneurship and Climate, ChatGPT in Business, and Sustainability Reporting in Europe. The practical workshops provided impulses and encouraged discussions.

Networking, Keynote and Campus Tour

In the afternoon, the alumni came together in smaller groups with former students from their own degree programmes. Afterwards, all participants gathered in the Audimax for the welcome by Professor Nils Stieglitz and the keynote speech by Professor Ulrich Walter from TU Munich. In his lecture entitled "FUTURE X.0 – The darned truth about the future", the former astronaut used vivid examples to explain why we almost always misjudge the future, what we can learn from it and how we can thus better prepare ourselves for the future.

Afterwards, Lisa Ronneburger, Director of Student & Alumni Affairs, presented news from Alumni Relations and Tim Niebergall from the FS Alumni e.V. welcomed the participants.

"A relaxed atmosphere and lots of space for networking – that's what makes our FS Alumni Community so unique," says Lisa Ronneburger about the Alumni Homecoming 2023. "Besides many reunions, new contacts could also be made in the different sessions. That's why the Homecoming is a special highlight every year for our former students and for us."

After the official part of the day, campus tours were offered. This was especially enjoyed by those who had been to the new campus for the first time so far.

Cheers to the FS Alumni Community: dinner, drinks, and party into the night

With a lively atmosphere, dinner, drinks and music in the casino, alumni, professors, and FS staff were able to toast the great FS Alumni Community together and let the day come to an end.
