Sustainable and green growth. It is all over the media and everyone is speaking about it. Sustainable and green growth has become the central term to address several topics that are of the utmost importance for our planet: resource intensive growth, growing population and increasing demand, fossils fuels and high GHG emissions, global warming, and climate change with its impact on water, food, and energy security.
The financial sector can play an important role in directing capital and investments into sustainable and green businesses to accelerate a transition into a green economy. This series of webinars will give an overview about the landscape of frameworks of green and sustainable finance. We will discuss commercial opportunities for financial institution while also looking into the risk side. ESG and climate risk management are relatively new topics and require a deeper understanding. The Green Finance Week program is designed to provide a basis that will enable you to build a green strategy for your financial institutions.
The Green Finance Week is organized by Frankfurt School of Finance and Management and GIZ Egypt in the shadow of the upcoming COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh and will cover a variety of topics related to green and sustainable finance. All relevant information about the course can be found below.
