The Forum
The Central Bank of Iraq and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management are jointly organizing a high-level conference to foster dialogue between Iraqi, German, and European banks and financial institutions.
The event will create a platform for exchanging expertise, strengthening partnerships, and addressing opportunities and challenges in Iraq’s evolving financial landscape.
Aim
- Encourage dialogue between European and Iraqi banking practitioners.
- Facilitate collaboration between commercial banks, regulators, and development banks.
- Support the modernization of Iraq’s financial system and deepen international financial integration.

Visa Requirements for EU / European Citizens
Kurdistan Region of Iraq (Erbil) – Special Entry Requirements
For participants traveling to Erbil (Kurdistan Region of Iraq, KRI), a visa on arrival is available, but pre-application online is required.
This means:
- You submit your details online before traveling (passport copy, personal data, purpose of visit) online here
- Upon approval, you receive an entry confirmation by email.
- On arrival at Erbil International Airport (EBL), the visa is stamped into your passport.
