Personal Details

Daniil Gerchik joined the Finance concentration of the Frankfurt School’s Ph.D. program in September 2020. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Higher School of Economics, Russia, and an MSc in Financial Economics at the International College of Economics and Finance of the Higher School of Economics in partnership with the London School of Economics. During his Bachelor's and Master’s programs, he worked as a Teaching Assistant for Probability Theory and Statistics, Dynamic Optimization in Economics and Finance, and Mathematics for Economists courses. Prior to joining Frankfurt School, Daniil had worked in both academia and industry. He was a Research Assistant at the Finance Department of the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Besides, he had internships at the Structured Products Group of Sberbank CIB, a corporate and investment division of the largest Russian bank, and the Fixed Income Research Group of Schildershoven Finance B.V. Daniil’s research interests lie in theoretically motivated empirical asset pricing and corporate finance.
