Frankfurt am Main, 31.01.2018 12:00:00

From May 14 to May 18, 2018, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management offers its students and alumni to participate in Chartered Financial Analayst (CFA) preparation courses. Together with Top Finance and Kaplan Schweser the business school gives interested students and alumni the possibility to join an intensive five-day review week from level I to level III. The workshop is a very dynamic format covering the challenging topics of the CFA curriculum.

In order to prepare its students for a successful career in diverse fields Frankfurt School offers a curriculum that provides a lot of practical training. Also, the business school is closely linked to a wide variety of companies. Samuel Kanyi, who comes from Kenya, and will finish his Master of Finance at Frankfurt School this fall highlights how the institution gives its students an optimal support for starting to work after graduating.

“Frankfurt School cares a lot about its students. The support is very good and faculty provides us with high quality teaching. Because of having a great network with companies from different fields the business school knows what the students and graduates need for a successful career – one qualification is the CFA”, emphasises Samuel Kanyi. His personal goal is to start a career in finance. Because of that he wants to gain skills that prepare him in the best way. “Besides benefiting from Frankfurt School´s curriculum I try to widen my expertise in additional programmes the business school offers. Having a Master of Finance from this institution and becoming a CFA will certainly help me to reach my goals”, explains the student.

Samuel Kanyi has successfully passed the first two CFA levels and knows how challenging the preparation and exams are: “The CFA exam calls for a lot of dedication, discipline and time management. Fewer than 20 percent of those who start level 1 end up getting the charter. In my opinion it is best done while being young and having the time”.

However, Samuel Kanyi is convinced that he will benefit a lot from the CFA in his future career. “I think it is a ticket to work in finance anywhere in the world. Besides having a degree from a university, a further internationally recognizable qualification signals without a doubt that you are good enough to work in finance”, says the student.
