The current edition of the internationally recognised U-Multirank 2020 university ranking was published on 9 June 2020. In the comparison of business studies, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is ranked first out of 511 universities worldwide. In the cross-curricular evaluation, Frankfurt School achieved the top mark "excellent" in 13 categories. This means that the business university has improved significantly compared with the previous year (top marks in nine categories). The top marks were awarded in the fields of "teaching and learning", "research", "knowledge transfer", "international orientation" and "regional engagement". Frankfurt School's rating puts it in second place of all 104 German universities assessed.

In addition, special emphasis is placed on universities that have achieved the highest possible rating in individual areas. This year, the Frankfurt School is represented in two of these "Top 25 Performing Universities" rankings: in the category "Contact with Employers" and in the category "Continuing Education Programmes", the business school is one of the 25 best universities in the world.

"We are particularly pleased about the excellent rating in business studies and the double award as 'Top 25 Performing Universities'", said Professor Nils Stieglitz, President of the Frankfurt School. "This ranking confirms that we both offer first-class business studies and executive education programmes and bring students into contact with potential employers at an early stage.

About U-Multirank

This year, the ranking evaluated almost 1,800 universities from 92 countries. The U-Multirank is an initiative of the European Commission and is carried out by the Centres for Higher Education Development CHE, CHEPS, CWTS and the Fundacion CYD. Information provided by the universities, national databases and surveys of about 100,000 students from the participating universities are used as the data basis. The ranking assesses 29 categories from the five areas of teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement.

Excelling in rankings

U-Multirank is already the sixth ranking in which Frankfurt School has done very well this year. At the beginning of June, the magazine América Economía evaluated the MBA programmes at Frankfurt School and ranked it 47th among international business schools. In mid-May, the Financial Times (FT) voted Frankfurt School's Executive and Professional Education programmes among the top 50 worldwide. At the beginning of May 2020, CHE University Ranking (Centre for Higher Education Development) 2020/21 was published. The bachelor programmes at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management make the top tier in eleven out of twelve categories and were able to improve significantly. In April 2020, Frankfurt School reached fifth place in the business-administration-studies section of business magazine Wirtschaftswoche’s annual German university ranking, four places higher than 2019. This makes Frankfurt School the best private business school in Germany. In March 2020, Manager-Magazin also named Frankfurt School the best university for auditors.
