Frankfurt, 05.06.2020 12:00:00

On June 5, 2020, the Latin American business magazine América Economía published the annual ranking of MBA courses. For the second year in succession, Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is among the top 60 business schools worldwide with its range of MBA programmes. This year, the business school ranks 47th, an improvement of five places on last year's ranking, when Frankfurt School took part for the first time. Among the five German business schools in the ranking, Frankfurt School achieved third place – ahead of WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management and HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management.

"We are very pleased that the international reputation of Frankfurt School is also reflected in the ranking of América Economía magazine and that we are among the top three business schools in Germany," said Professor Nils Stieglitz, President of Frankfurt School.

The ranking is based on five categories, which together make up the position of the ranking: "internationality", in relation to students and faculty members; "networking potential for students from Latin America", such as career fairs; "student selectivity", such as the results of the GMAT test; "innovation", such as research results and conferences; and "positions in international rankings".

Frankfurt School was able to improve significantly in almost all categories compared to 2019. The business school did particularly well in the "innovation" category with 87.7% (in comparison to 73.5% in 2019). Frankfurt School also performed best in the "international rankings" category: from no evaluation in 2019 to 27.9%.

Excelling in rankings

The América Economía ranking is already the fifth ranking in which Frankfurt School has done very well this year. In mid-May, the Financial Times (FT) voted Frankfurt School's Executive and Professional Education programmes among the top 50 worldwide. At the beginning of May 2020, CHE University Ranking (Centre for Higher Education Development) 2020/21 was published. The bachelor programmes at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management make the top tier in eleven out of twelve categories and were able to improve significantly. In April 2020, Frankfurt School reached fifth place in the business-administration-studies section of business magazine Wirtschaftswoche’s annual German university ranking, four places higher than 2019. This makes Frankfurt School the best private business school in Germany. In March 2020, Manager-Magazin also named Frankfurt School the best university for auditors.
