Dear FS Community,

Here you find information about how we are dealing with the coronavirus situation. Our business school thrives on being connected and we look forward to welcoming you to our campus. Please continue to act in a way that does not expose ourselves and others to risk of infection.

  • Students, participants, and guests must conform to current legal requirements when on campus. Here you can find the regulations for Hesse.
  • We recommend wearing mouth-nose protection in all public areas of the campus. In this way, we can continue to minimise the risk of infection. Please also follow our hygiene rules.
  • The testing station on the FS campus is open Monday to Saturday from 7:30 to 16:00. If required, rapid tests can be administered and official certificates issued here.
  • Our students and participants of the Executive Education courses can choose between online and in-person attendance.
  • For questions about the Coronavirus at FS please use the central email address communitylife@fs.de.
  • We have set up a hotline for students. Students can find the number online in the "Study Guide".
  • The federal government offers a Corona-Warning App that makes it easier to track infections. We recommend downloading it on mobile phones. In addition all students and employees have been outfitted with Corona Tracers.
  • We also ask everyone to follow the prevention recommendations of the RKI.

Is the campus open?

The campus is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 to 24:00, Friday to Sunday from 8:00 to 22:00.

We recommend wearing mouth-nose protection in all public areas of the campus. In this way, we can continue to minimise the risk of infection. Please also follow our hygiene rules.

The testing station on the FS campus is open Monday to Saturday from 7:30 - 16:00. If required, rapid tests can be administered and official certificates issued here.

Are Kasino and Deli open?

Deli and Kasino are open. We recommend wearing mouth-nose-covering until seated.

What happens if a member of the FS Community is infected with Corona?

As soon as Frankfurt School knows of a confirmed infection, this information will be passed on to all students and employees.

With the help of the Corona Tracer, which all students and employees carry, those who have been in close contact with the infected person can be identified. These contact persons will be informed personally to discuss measures such as quarantine or a precautionary corona test.

On the instructions of the public health department, infected persons remain anonymous. Their personal rights are protected.

Students

How are the academic programmes running?

We offer the elective model to our students, where they can choose whether to attend classes from campus or online. Please continue to act in a way that does not expose ourselves and others to risk of infection.

We recommend wearing medical masks (surgical masks or protective masks of the standards FFP2, KN95, N95, or comparable) in all public and especially in crowded areas of the campus.

Library services for students and Break-Out Rooms

The Learning Centre and Breakout-Rooms are open during general campus opening hours. The entire campus, including the Learning Centre and the Breakout-Rooms, are cleaned and disinfected thoroughly every day.

How are the part-time education programmes running?

We offer our Bankfachwirt, Betriebswirt and Management courses all over Germany, in all federal states. There are both face-to-face and online groups. If you have any questions, please send an email to dreiklang@fs.de.

Should students take advantage of semesters and internships abroad?

The pandemic has different effects in different countries. Special entry requirements must also be observed. Students should contact the Frankfurt School's International Office.

What should students do if they think they are infected?

Students who believe they have been infected should contact their family doctor or the medical on-call service by phone at the Germany-wide number 116117. The Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs has set up a hotline for questions about the coronavirus: 0800 5554666. It is available every day from 08:00 to 20:00; the staff on this hotline speak German and English.

Please also inform Frankfurt School at communitylife@fs.de if you are staying at home due to illness. Together we will find solutions so the success of your degree will not be compromised.

What should students who have been in contact with a (potentially) infected person do?

All students who have had contact with a (potentially) infected person should stay at home until the person has been tested. If the person tests positive and infection with the coronavirus is confirmed, the student should contact their own doctor and self-isolate for 10 days. In this case, the student should inform Frankfurt School via the following central mail address: communitylife@fs.de. Together we will find solutions so the success of your degree will not be compromised.

Prospective students

Will Assessment Centres for applicants still take place?

Assessment Centres for Bachelor, Master and MBA applicants will be carried out online. The admissions teams will contact applicants to set up dates. They will also share technical requirements. In the case that applicants are unable to provide required test scores (GMAT, Toefl, IELTS) alternative arrangements are being made. For any questions, please contact the respective team: bachelor@fs.de, masters@fs.de or mba@fs.de.

What support is currently available?

The Frankfurt School has launched a new scholarship program for new students. The Diversity Scholarship Program promotes diversity in terms of origin, school background, gender and skills. It promotes applicants for the Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Computational Business Analytics courses with good grades and extra-curricular commitment. Visitors / Participants of events and seminars

Are Executive Education seminars currently taking place?

We offer you a "hybrid model", in which you can participate in the course both in presence on campus and live from home. Online courses will remain possible in individual cases.

Use of Zoom video software

Frankfurt School uses Zoom video software from the US company Zoom Video Communications for communication with students, customers, business partners and employees. From a legal perspective, Frankfurt School has taken all necessary and possible measures to secure and protect all personal data during use.

The Hamburg Campus is generally open. The following opening hours apply: Monday to Saturday from 8:00 to 22:00. Access here is only possible with student ID card. 
Please register in advance to use the study rooms.

At the Hamburg Campus, the following measures apply in addition to the rules in Frankfurt:

  • In closed rooms, also during courses, it is mandatory to wear a medical mask.
  • Lecturers may remove the mask.
  • There is no obligation to wear a mask during examinations. 

A corona tracer is not required to be worn here.

What does Frankfurt School recommend to its employees?

FS employees have the option of working mobile. We ask them to take advantage of this option if they feel sick. Please coordinate this closely with your manager.

Frankfurt School provides free Corona self-tests. 

We regularly inform our staff per email.

What does Frankfurt School recommend to its International Advisory Services consultants/experts?

Consultants should align their activities closely with recommendations from local authorities. Where needed, you can work flexibly from home. For emergency staffing, you can also use the Project Offices. We ask our consultants to closely coordinate with the Senior Project Manager in charge of the respective project or assignment.

We also ask all consultants and experts returning from an at risk area to maintain a 14-day self-isolation in order to minimize the risk of infection. Consultants who feel ill should get in touch with a doctor. They should also inform the Frankfurt School project management team.
