Frankfurt School mourns Finance Minister Dr Thomas Schäfer

On Saturday, 28 March, 2020, Hessian Minister of Finance, Dr Thomas Schäfer, passed away. Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is deeply affected and shocked. Dr Schäfer supported Frankfurt School with benevolent, constructive and collaborative development. He was our companion and friend as well as an intelligent and reliable partner to us all.  

The Frankfurt School mourns with his wife and children in these difficult days. We express our sincere condolences.

"The loss of Dr Thomas Schäfer saddens and stuns us. We send our deep condolences to his family. As the Hessian finance minister, he did much for our state. He was a regular guest at Frankfurt School and a valued partner, raising the profile and and strengthening the Hessian educational landscape and the financial center of Frankfurt. We will sorely miss Dr Schäfer,”said Professor Nils Stieglitz, President of Frankfurt School.
