Frankfurt am Main, 11.02.2021 12:00:00

On Wednesday, 10 February, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and KfW Development Bank published the 2020 Annual Report of the InsuResilience Solutions Fund’s (ISF). It covers the ISF's activities and engagement over the past year and highlights the progress the fund has made in strengthening climate-risk management and insurance.

New challenges posed by rising risks from natural hazards as well as pandemic crises underscored the importance of ex-ante risk financing and coping solutions. With articles, case studies and interviews, the report illustrates the role of ISF and its partners in supporting vulnerable communities and governments to manage climate risks and strengthen their resilience.

The ISF represents a key implementation programme of the InsuResilience Global Partnership. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), KfW established and financed the ISF to actively support the scale-up of pre-arranged risk financing and insurance solutions. Frankfurt School is commissioned by KfW to manage the Fund.
