‘Industry 4.0’ and ‘China 2025’ are both major initiatives to boost the technology development in Germany and China respectively. How has this worked so far and what are the perspectives for high-tech technologies in both countries? Has China already challenged Germany and other Western countries in terms of size and speed of the innovation process?

These questions will be discussed with leading experts of both countries at the Frankfurt School's Sino-German Center on Thursday 24 June:

  • Dr Philipp Böing, Senior Researcher, Research Department Economics of Innovation and Industrial Dynamics, ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research, Mannheim
  • Professor Dr -Ing. Holger Kohl, Deputy Director, Director Division Corporate Management, Fraunhofer-Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK), Berlin
  • Ivo Naumann, Partner, McKinsey & Co. China, Shanghai
  • Professor Ben Shenglin (tbd), Professor & Dean, International Business School & Academy of Internet Finance Zhejiang University, Hangzhou

The two directors of the Sino-German Center, Professor Horst Löchel, Professor of Economics at FS, and Professor Rüdiger von Rosen, will moderate. We cordially invite interested journalists to attend. You will receive the access link after registration:
