Finance Professor Kornelia Fabisik has been awarded the renowned Lamfalussy Research Fellowship of the European Central Bank (ECB) for her research project on "The real effects of ESG ratings". The Lamfalussy Fellowship is endowed with EUR 10,000 and awarded annually to up to five researchers.

Kornelia Fabisik joined Frankfurt School in August 2020 as Assistant Professor of Finance. Her research focuses on Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance, especially on insider ownership, CEO incentives, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. Kornelia Fabisik holds a PhD from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and the Swiss Finance Institute and won multiple teaching awards during her PhD studies.

About the Lamfalussy Research Fellowship

The ECB established the Lamfalussy Fellowship Programme in 2003. It aims to promote research on the structure, integration and performance of the European financial system and is particularly open to early career researchers who are no older than 36 years old. During the research period, fellows are required to present their work at ECB workshops and conferences and to publish in established journals, such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Finance or the Review of Financial Studies.
