More than 5,000 international experts from the blockchain industry came together at the Crypto Assets Conference (CAC) from 4 to 6 April 2022 to exchange views on distributed ledger technology, blockchain and crypto assets. Professor Philipp Sandner, Head of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, initiated the conference for the fifth time this year. Starting in 2018, it has become a central industry get-together in Europe.

Well-known speakers from start-ups, established companies and state institutions discussed in their lectures and discussion panels, for example, the prospects for Bitcoin in 2022, trends such as NFTs, metaverse and web3, the regulation of crypto assets, the digital euro and sustainability in the context of blockchain technology. “We can see that crypto assets are really becoming presentable. In many cases, companies across the financial sector are now starting to build entire teams of blockchain experts,” says Professor Sandner.

The participants and speakers were highly impressed. “No other conference manages to connect representatives from traditional and digital sectors so well. This year, we talked about new types of digital business models in decentralised finance and regulatory issues. The interest in topics related to decentralised finance seems to be growing,” says Philipp Schulden, Co-Founder & COO of Rudy Capital. He continues: “The CAC offers a unique opportunity for young blockchain companies to present to a broad and international audience.”
