Frankfurt am Main, 29.08.2022 12:00:00

For the first time, Frankfurt School has exceeded the mark of 100 new Bachelor of Arts students. All of the 103 new students are already working and will be studying on a part-time basis on the Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich campuses, or using the popular virtual @Home option. A warm welcome!

Frankfurt School President and CEO Professor Nils Stieglitz was the first to address the new students at the Opening Ceremony on 26 August on the Frankfurt Campus: “Reflecting on my own study experience years ago two things come to my mind which I would like to tell my former self: First, do not worry about the relevance of the material covered in the classroom – you never know what will become relevant in your professional life. Second, learning not just happens in the classroom. So, get involved in student initiatives and build your own networks.”

Following Nils Stieglitz, Frankfurt School alumnus Tim Brückner, CFO at DEMIRE Deutsche Mittelstand Real Estate AG, spoke about his time at Frankfurt School and gave some advice: “What is essential for your future success is not intelligence and knowledge – and I am sure that Frankfurt School will teach you the latter. What is essential is the willingness to want something and to give everything to achieve it.” Tim Brückner finished his Bachelor of Business Administration, Banking & Finance at Hochschule für Bankwirtschaft / Frankfurt School in 2004, followed by his Master of Arts in Banking & Finance in 2005.

Daniel Merkel – currently studying for a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, class of 2023 – then welcomed the new students to the FS Community, sharing some of his experiences since joining Frankfurt School: “What I would like to say is that today marks the beginning of a new, exciting and unforgettable period of your life, which at the same time grants you entry into a unique community that will accompany you not only during your studies, but also far beyond.” In addition to his studies, Daniel Merkel is the founder of the start-up PeopleEat, a platform where private chefs can be booked. The Frankfurt School Entrepreneurship Centre supports his start-up.

The Opening Ceremony was held in the Mall on the Frankfurt campus, a string instrument duo contributed to a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. The evening finished with an exclusive dinner for the new students.
