Frankfurt am Main, 25.08.2022 12:00:00

Frankfurt School welcomes 384 new students onto the business school’s Pre-experience Master programmes – setting a new record again this year. 232 students start in the Master of Finance, 117 in the Master in Management and 35 in the Master in Applied Data Science programmes.

Frankfurt School President and CEO Professor Nils Stieglitz was the first to greet the new cohort at the ceremony on 22 August: “I am proud to have you. Congratulations! We received a record number of applications this year and had to reject many competent candidates from all over the world. But you made it.”

In his address, Frankfurt School alumnus Julian Coley, founder and Managing Director at Coley Corporate Finance, spoke about the time he spent studying at FS, how he benefited from his studies and what makes the business school unique for him: “Frankfurt School is a community of diverse, talented and ambitious people. Your combined knowledge and the strong network of alumni perhaps are the most valuable aspects you will take with you.” Frankfurt School awarded Julian Coley his Master of Finance degree in 2016, in 2021 he founded Coley Corporate Finance, a M&A consultancy focussing on medium-sized companies.

Denise Reffelmann – currently studying for a Master in Data Analytics & Management degree at Frankfurt School, having graduated with a Master in Management – also extended a very warm welcome to the new students: “You are now part of Frankfurt School and thus of our family!” As one of two recipients of the FS Spirit Award 2021, she is heavily involved in the student community.

The ceremony was held in the mall on the business school’s Frankfurt campus. Being already a good tradition at the opening ceremonies, an interactive drumming show followed the welcoming addresses. The evening finished with a barbecue, giving the new students a chance to meet each other and make their first Frankfurt School contacts.
