Frankfurt am Main, 15.12.2022 12:00:00

Magazine Wirtschaftswoche this week published its ranking of the most research-intensive universities in business administration in German-speaking countries. Frankfurt School came in 10th place improving two places compared to the previous ranking from 2020. Among the private business schools in Germany, Frankfurt School ranks second.

The ranking, which is compiled in cooperation with the KOF Economic Research Institute of the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich, evaluates business publications from 2013 to 2022. Frankfurt School was able to increase the number of its publications considered from 405 (2020 ranking) to 500 (2022 ranking).

The ranking records the publications of business economists working at universities, Fraunhofer and Max Planck Institutes in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The data source is the bibliometric web portal Forschungsmonitoring of the KOF Economic Research Institute at ETH Zurich. The ranking is based on a list of 860 journals, and since not every journal has the same reputation, the experts carried out a detailed weighting of the research papers. It is based on the journal ranking of the German Academic Association of Business Research (VHB). Books were not included in the evaluation.
