Frankfurt am Main, 15.06.2022 12:00:00

Students from the FS Music and FS Charity initiatives and the FS Student Council have collected donations through various campaigns to support Ukrainian refugees. 1,667 euro were collected, which FS Alumni e.V. topped up and thus helped to raise a total of 2,500 euro. On 10 June, the money was handed over to the Ukrainian Coordination Centre (UCC). It will be used to support refugee children with leisure activities, such as regular yoga classes, to help them deal with their war experiences and find new ground in Frankfurt.

Students collected most of the donations at the spring concert on the “Stars” theme in mid-May. The audience enjoyed film music from Star Trek, Star Wars and La La Land as well as classical tracks. Furthermore, the students organised a public viewing as a fundraising event for the Europe League finals, which saw Eintracht Frankfurt play against Glasgow Rangers.

Frankfurt School would like to thank the students for their commitment and FS Alumni e.V. for the generous donation – not only for the UCC but also for the FS Hardship Fund of 10,000 euro. If you would like to support refugees you can do so through the FS Hardship Fund. Its funds benefit refugee students who wish to begin or continue their studies at FS. Find more information here.
