Frankfurt am Main, 11.11.2022 12:00:00

This week, one of the most important Frankfurt School events took place in a new format – the annual Career Days. For the first time ever, the business school hosted its career fair in a two-in-one format on-site and virtual, to ensure that students were truly offered the best of both worlds. The hybrid format led to a record number of participating students and companies thus strongly enhancing the chance for the students to meet their favourite companies and leave a lasting impression. Over the two days, more than than 1,300 students met with 800 corporate representatives from 97 companies - underpinning the Career Days’ position as being one of the largest high-class career events in the Rhine-Main region.

The Career Days started with an on-campus career fair on Tuesday 8 November. Frankfurt School students and alumni met corporate representatives from companies across various sectors ranging from the financial industry and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) to consulting with companies such as Blackrock, Procter & Gamble, BCG and Merz. More than 1,300 students signed up for the on-site event to connect with the attending companies. An impressive number – but even more impressive are the number and names of the companies that didn't want to miss the chance to connect with Frankfurt School students and alumni. 49 hand-selected companies were attending the on-site event, the spectrum ranging from long-established local heroes such as Metzler to global players like Goldman Sachs.

The following day, on 9 November, the second part of the Career Days 2022 took place, the Virtual Career Day. Using the platform Careernomics nearly 1,000 Frankfurt School students took the opportunity to listen to the keynote panel with McKinsey, attend virtual company presentations and get invited to exclusive one-on-one chats with recruiters and corporate representatives. In all, the students attended 2,265 online sessions at this year’s Careers Days. In addition, students were given the opportunity to search and apply for vacancies on the virtual platform.

For students and company representatives, the FS Career Days are worthwhile. Franz Hofmann, Senior Consultant for Valuation & Transaction Advisory at Jones Lang LaSalle, said: "As a graduate of Frankfurt School, I was familiar with what to expect and was excited about the Career Days. I have to admit, however, that the organisation, the countless opportunities, and the many rewarding conversations exceeded our expectations greatly. Moreover, the virtual format allowed us to go even deeper into certain points and establish contact with many highly motivated and promising talents, providing us with the best of both worlds. Overall, the event was a great success for us, and we were happy to be a part of it. As we all know, after the Career Days is before the Career Days, and we are already looking forward to 2023.”

For Tim Stärz, a student in the Master in Management programme, the Career Days have already been a success: "The Career Days 2022 offered me a great opportunity to have 1on1 sessions with my favorite companies and to get insights into their day-to-day activities. Additionally, it is a nice opportunity to network with professionals that are also often FS alumni.”

The CV Database as well as the company profiles and job board continues to be available for companies and students also after the end of the Career Days.
