Executive Master Opening 2022 1266x321 Header

Frankfurt am Main, 14.11.2022 12:00:00

Last week, Frankfurt School welcomed 98 first-semester students in the German-language part-time programmes Master in Corporate Performance & Restructuring, Master of Financial Law and Master of Mergers & Acquisitions. At the same time, 61 new students started in the two English-language part-time programmes Master in Data Analytics & Management and Master in Blockchain & Digital Assets.

Frankfurt School is offering the Master in Blockchain & Digital Assets for the first time this year – being the first German university to offer a part-time Master's programme with a focus on Blockchain. Professor Philipp Sandner, the head of Frankfurt School's Blockchain Center, acts as the programme’s academic director.

Oliver Matthews, Frankfurt School’s Vice President Degree Programmes & Chief Marketing Officer, did not want to miss out on the opportunity to welcome the new students at the Opening Ceremonies on the Frankfurt campus: “Frankfurt School is about you, the students and the strong network of successful alumni and friends we have. So, there is one message I have for you: Your time here is more than your class. I want to encourage you to engage with people outside your programme, attend Frankfurt School initiatives and events and become part of a great network. Be part of something bigger, this is what Frankfurt School is about.“

Frankfurt School alumnus Florian Doeinck, being the guest speaker at the Opening Ceremony of the German-language programmes on 11 November, took a look at his own time as a student and how Frankfurt School has influenced his professional development: "If you are looking for a door opener for your career – at FS you will find it!" Florian Doeinck is Manager Operations at Aurelius Goup, a pan-European private markets investor. He graduated with a Master of Finance from Frankfurt School in 2019 and will graduate with a Master of Mergers and Acquisitions in 2022.

Representing the students, Katharina Ostermann, a current student in the Master of Corporate Performance & Restructuring programme, shared her experience at Frankfurt School: "What you will get is not only an additional degree, but you will also make friends and build a network for life."

Over dinner, drinks & music, the students let the Opening Ceremonies come to an end and made their first contacts.
