“I never lose. Either I win or I learn”

“Here I learned to be curious, disciplined, focused, bold and to be ready to run the extra mile”, says FS alumnus Maximilian von Kempis about his time at Frankfurt School. Directly after his Bachelor in Business Administration (2011), he also completed his Master of Finance (2013) at FS. After working in investment banking and outside the financial industry in Frankfurt, London, New York and Berlin, he moved back to his hometown near Cologne and, after his last position at Deutsche Post DHL Group, now took on a new challenge as CFO and COO of the traditional, family-owned textile company van Laack, which is particularly known for its high-end fashion products. “My studies at FS specifically prepared me to take on responsibility”, he says.
