Frankfurt am Main, 21.11.2022 12:00:00

More than 300 participants and top-class speakers gathered at Frankfurt School on 16 November for the major meeting of the real estate industry - the Real Estate Finance Day, which has positioned itself as one of the most important German real estate events. The conference has been jointly organised by Frankfurt School Verlag and Targa Communications.

The participants, including numerous Frankfurt School alumni, received impulses on highly topical issues from the finance and real estate industry. Markus Kreuter, Managing Director of Zinsbaustein, led through the day.

The programme opened with Ulrich Höller, Managing Partner ABG Real Estate Group in the Opening Talk. From the perspective of project development, he reported on the current situation and challenges in the real estate market and emphasised that this ferocity of change was not to be expected. "The market is in the finding phase", and he does not expect decision-making normality again until the summer of 2023.

José Martínez, Managing Partner of the property developer Groß & Partner, introduced the second part of the day with his lunch keynote. He spoke about the office of the future in the context of ESG aspects. "The office will remain, the function will change", and in this change the S is just as important as the E and G. He emphasised: using synergies, developing an awareness of the measurability of S, involving stakeholders and innovation are important aspects for new office concepts.

The day concluded with a presentation by Professor Thomas Beyerle, Head of Strategy & Communication at Catella Real Estate, on the topic: "Metaverse: Megatrend or Megaflop from the Real Estate Industry's Perspective?".

In addition to the expert presentations, the personal exchange among the participants was an important aspect of the conference, for which there were numerous opportunities during the breaks and at the evening get-together. The next annual conference will take place on 15 November 2023 on the Frankfurt School campus.
