Graduation hats thrown into the air

Frankfurt am Main, 14.10.2022 12:00:00

For more than 25 years, FS Alumni e.V. has been committed to supporting Frankfurt School (FS) students, not least by regularly awarding up to 15 Deutschlandstipendien. This year, the alumni association is also awarding two Diversity Scholarships for the first time. Last year, FS Alumni e.V. celebrated its 25th anniversary and, as part of the Members Recruit Members campaign, paid 25 euros for each new member into a new sponsorship fund which is now being used for the first two Diversity Scholarships.

The scholarships will go to Salvatore Nocerino, a part-time MBA student at Frankfurt School in Munich, and Cedric Rickwärtz, a Bachelor of Arts student in Hamburg – it is important to the alumni association to support programmes at Frankfurt School locations in Düsseldorf, Munich and Hamburg. The Diversity Scholarship is designed as a match-funding initiative: With its own funds, FS doubles every donation. The programme provides scholarship holders with financial assistance in the form of a tuition fee waiver of 25 to 50 percent – reliably for the entire duration of their studies.

Hendrik Pelckmann, deputy chairman of the FS Alumni e.V. and responsible for members: “For many FS alumni it is very important to stay connected to the university and also to give something back for the good education they have received. For many years, the alumni association has therefore used a good part of the membership fees to offer scholarships for current FS students. The new Diversity Scholarship is a special matter of the heart for the alumni association.”

Angelika Werner, Vice President Strategic Relations at Frankfurt School, emphasises, “We are delighted that Alumni e.V. has taken its 25th anniversary as an opportunity to generously support our scholarship programmes, among others, and thus create a tangible benefit for our students. Many thanks!”
