Frankfurt School has received the system accreditation from the German Accreditation Council. The reaccreditation was granted for eight years, the maximum achievable duration. This means that the business school continues to hold the seal of quality of the German Accreditation Council, an institution of the German federal states for quality assurance in teaching and learning at German universities.

The Accreditation Council has the task of deciding on the accreditation of study programmes (programme accreditation) and quality management systems (system accreditation) on the basis of expert reports. The aim is to ensure the coherence and consistency of accreditation decisions as well as the further development of the quality of German higher education institutions.

For the system accreditation, external experts examine the quality management system of a higher education institution. Only if it meets the legal requirements and quality standards is a higher education institution awarded system accreditation – meaning that the institution has the authority to audit its own study programmes. The review and the expert report, on the basis of which the German Accreditation Council decides on the system accreditation, includes compliance with the formal requirements for study programmes and a professional assessment of the content by an independent body.

Claudia Bieber, Director Accreditations & Corporate Excellence at Frankfurt School comments: “We are delighted that the German Accreditation Council has once again confirmed the outstanding quality of Frankfurt School's quality management system. The holistic review of the study programmes ensures their excellent level. Through up-to-date, research-strong and practice-oriented content as well as modern teaching methods, our students acquire all the skills and competences required for a successful and fulfilling professional life.”

Professor Nils Stieglitz, President and CEO of Frankfurt School adds: “We are proud that the German Accreditation Council has reaccredited our business school for the maximum period of eight years. This result is proof of the high quality of our degree programmes and our quality management and thus impressively confirms that our private business university is firmly established in the German higher education system."
