Frankfurt am Main, 29.06.2023 12:00:00

On 24 June, Frankfurt School bid farewell to 306 graduates from the Bachelor, Executive MBA (EMBA) and MBA in International Healthcare Management (IHM) programmes. Together with their families and friends, the graduates celebrated the day in one of Frankfurt's most iconic locations, the Alte Oper. The graduation ceremony for the Bachelor students kicked off at noon, followed by the graduates of the EMBA and IHM programmes in the afternoon and evening.

Professor Nils Stieglitz, President and CEO of Frankfurt School, personally congratulated the graduates on the transformative journey they have completed. “As you have changed since your first days at Frankfurt School, so has our School, and so has the world. These changes have created so many opportunities and I am proud that Frankfurt School has played a part in preparing you to seize those opportunities.”

The Interessengemeinschaft Frankfurter Kreditinstitute (IFK) once again honoured outstanding graduates from the Bachelor of Science programme. IFK’s Managing Director Sarah Schmidtke presented the awards to graduates Niklas Paulath (first place), Johann Maximilian Burtscheidt (second place), and Niklas Röhrig (third place).

Professor Claus Rerup, Vice President Academic Affairs, presented the Frankfurt School Awards for Academic Excellence to the best graduates of the four programmes: Niklas Paulath from the Bachelor in Business Administration, Sophia Donauer from the Bachelor in Betriebswirtschaftslehre, Daniel Nowack from the EMBA and Mathias Mönckedieck from the IHM.

Looking back and welcome as alumni

Speeches by graduates traditionally form an essential part of the programme at Frankfurt School's Graduation Ceremonies. This year’s speakers included Dr Rujuta Shrotriya, graduate of the MBA in International Healthcare Management, EMBA graduate Joanna Marie Calibara, Sharon Wolsztynski, graduate of the Bachelor in Betriebswirtschaftslehre, and Johannes Koch, graduate of the Bachelor in Business Administration. The latter summed up his study experience as follows: “I know we had to make sacrifices, like spending sunny weekends in the library or excessive caffeine consumption. Altogether, I have to say the journey has been worth every moment. After all, this degree is not just about the piece of paper we hold in our hands; it's about the experiences, knowledge, and personal growth we have gained along the way.”

Finally, Lisa Ronneburger, Head of Student & Alumni Affairs, invited the graduates to join Frankfurt School's alumni network and emphasised that the Graduation Ceremony is by no means a final farewell. On the contrary, Frankfurt School strongly encourages and supports alumni to pass on their knowledge and experience to the Frankfurt School community – be it, for example, as mentors, speakers or friends.
