Pia Domschke

Personal Details

Pia Domschke is Senior Lecturer for Applied Mathematics and Quantitative Methods at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Previously, she has been leading a junior research group as Athene Young Investigator at Technische Universität Darmstadt. She is involved as principal investigator in the DFG-CRC Transregio 154 "Modelling, Simulation and Optimization using the Example of Gas Networks". She works in the area of numerical analysis, more precisely in the numerics of partial differential equations. The focus of her research lies in the simulation of gas transport in networks as well as in the modelling and simulation of cancer invasion in tissue. She teaches mathematics and statistics.

Pia Domschke studied and received her PhD in Mathematics at Technische Universität Darmstadt. As postdoctoral research fellow she has been doing research at the University of Dundee in Scotland for one year.
