It is recruiting season again: we have just kicked off the fair planning for the 13th FS Career Day 2021. The exclusive Frankfurt School career fair will again be organized by FS Career Services exclusively for FS students and alumni and it is THE EVENT of the semester that Frankfurt School students and recent graduates should not miss!
Having organized 19 vibrant and successful on-campus recruiting fairs, we offered our corporate partners, students and alumni something new and innovative in 2020: an all-day virtual career fair. All students and alumni were able to meet their employer of choice in a conformable setup and benefit from the Frankfurt School’s career network.
The annual Career Day – organised by Frankfurt School of Finance & Management's Career Services team – took place on 4 November 2020. This year as an online event. Almost 1,000 students, graduates and alumni of Frankfurt School took the opportunity to network. In around 200 online sessions, 49 companies, such as Bain & Company, BlackRock, Citi, EY, Fresenius-Group, ING, Goldman Sachs, Merck and Procter & Gamble, invited to presentations, live stands, discussion rounds and one-on-one interviews.
Professor Nils Stieglitz, President of Frankfurt School, warmly welcomed the online participants: “In recent years, Career Day has established itself as one of the largest career events in the Rhine-Main region. So I am all the more pleased that this year we can give you the chance to get to know potential employers virtually and to get valuable advice from our FS alumni on how to get a job.”
The Career Day is worthwhile for students and company representatives. Sven Scheid, FS Alumnus and Director at Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG, says: “We much appreciate the great support from Frankfurt School in presenting Citi and its German teams to a large number of talented students. The Career Services team at Frankfurt School successfully transformed the physical Career Day into a virtual setting, catering for the COVID-19 environment. The format gave us the opportunity to have Citi HR Recruiters as well as colleagues from Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Markets on-line. We all enjoyed the interactive dialogue and already see good connectivity with strong talents post the event.”
Lisa Westermann, Business Manager Germany, Austria & Eastern Europe at BlackRock Investment Management shared this feedback: “It was a very special atmosphere this time, because of the virtual format we had the chance to democratise the process and give all interested parties equal time and space. Even though they were not physically in front of us, we were able to get a good impression of the candidates. This year, I was particularly impressed by the diversity of the students. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to getting to know each other personally. We value our ongoing partnership with the Frankfurt School as a very valuable opportunity to enter into dialogue with junior talent.”
Ozren Winkler, Manager Internal Audit at Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA, added: “After attending several career days at the new FS campus, an online event was quite a difference. However, my experience was very positive. Talking to interested students in breakout rooms was smooth and everyone got their chance for asking questions. Even providing students with some useful information was way easier while being online all the time. Students were very well prepared and my feeling is that, regardless a remote approach, they were still able to get individualized experience and receive valuable information relevant for their future careers.”
The 13th FS Career Day will take place on Novermber 03, 2021. We will invite our corporate partners in spring 2021 and inform them about this year´s event format and the set up. The health and safety of all participants is our top priority.

"Career Day at Frankfurt School is a really meaningful event. Through the event, I could easily get in touch with hundreds of companies. Most important of all, I have had a chance to know my advantages and weaknesses and prepare myself well to approach companies at their stands. For example, as a student of the Master in Applied Data Science programme, I was very happy to find out that lots of the companies offer data analytics jobs. I felt very excited because these recruiters really offer us lots of chances to make a real impact."
