The objective of the Prof. Dr. Karl Friedrich Hagenmüller Foundation is to support students enrolled in the Master in Applied Data Science (MADS). The foundation offers partial grants to students based on academic performance. Prospective students must apply for the scholarship while applying to study at Frankfurt School. The scholarship application is a part of the online application process. You can find more information here.

From intake 2020/21 to 2022/23, a partial scholarship of 5,000 € will be awarded each year.

The Prof. Dr. Karl Friedrich Hagenmüller Foundation

Professor Dr. Karl Friedrich Hagenmüller established the foundation in his name. Its purpose is to sponsor students and alumni of Frankfurt School. Professor Dr. Karl Friedrich Hagenmüller was Professor of Banking Management at Goethe University and Management Board Member of the Dresdner Bank. In 1957, he founded the Bankakademie, which later became the Frankfurt School. Professor Dr. Karl Friedrich Hagenmüller remained close to the Frankfurt School throughout his life and was especially committed to its students. He died in 2009 at the age of 92.

Today, Professor Dr. Franz Buscha, grandson of the Foundation’s founder and Professor of Economics at the University of Westminster, and Dr. Horst Müller hold the chair of the Hagenmüller Foundation. For many years, Dr. Horst Müller has been a long-standing friend of FS. The retired bank executive was Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Frankfurt School Foundation for many years.
