Campus main entrance at MBA Opening Ceremony

Frankfurt am Main, 19.10.2021 12:00:00

The winter semester has begun, and Frankfurt School has just welcomed 179 new students to MBA programmes. Of the first-year students, 41 are embarking on the Full-time MBA programme, 40 on the Executive MBA programme, another 41 on the MBA in International Healthcare Management programme, while 57 freshers are starting the Part-time MBA programme (in Frankfurt, Hamburg and – for the first time – Munich). The opening ceremony was held on 1 October, in the foyer on the Frankfurt campus.

Frankfurt School’s President, Professor Nils Stieglitz, warmly welcomed the new students and spoke about the importance of Science, Impact and Excellence as the business school’s guiding principles. As guest of honour, FS alumna Bulëza Koci then gave the keynote speech, in which she told her listeners how completing her Executive MBA in 2018 helped her build her own very individual and impressive career, culminating in her appointment as CEO of Eurozyto GmbH. She was followed by FS alumnus Fahim M. Shaffi, who reminisced about his experiences as a Frankfurt School student in his Alumni Reflections speech. His MBA course, which he completed in 2019, enabled him to join the family firm’s management team; he is now opening up new areas of business as Director of Business Development and Operations at Shaffi Group of Companies GmbH. Indeed, he developed one of his business ideas – now successfully implemented – while studying for his MBA!

Following an interactive drumming performance, the students finished their evening with an exclusive dinner, which gave them an opportunity to meet each other properly for the first time.
