Frankfurt School supports refugees from war zones such as Ukraine in continuing their studies at the business school. It pays the tuition fees for suitable candidates and has set up the FS Hardship Fund to finance living costs. Now the Interessengemeinschaft Frankfurter Kreditinstitute (IFK) has donated 10,000 euro to the fund.

Sarah Schmidtke, Managing Director of the IFK, has supported Frankfurt School and its students for many years. Last year, IFK sponsored five diversity scholarships. In addition, it honours graduates with outstanding academic achievements each year at the Graduation Ceremonies with EUR 1000 to EUR 3000 awards. Sarah Schmidtke: “With our donation to Frankfurt School’s Hardship Fund, we would like to express our solidarity with Ukraine and provide help where we can. It is an important concern for us to support as many refugees from Ukraine as possible in building a new perspective and thereby to contribute to overcoming the ensuing humanitarian crisis.”

Professor Nils Stieglitz, Frankfurt School President and CEO: “Thank you to the IFK for their generous donation. Not only is this a financial support for the FS Hardship Fund, but it is also a strong showing of support for the values of the FS Community.”
